Hi Shannon,
Thanks for sharing your time and wisdom with me in these early stages of entering the dating pool and starting over. I have kicked myself over and over on how I sabotage my relationships by driving perfection and “being the best ever partner”, totally missing the point of my emotional energy too.
I’m going to sit with this and interalize what you’re sharing – to be clear I’m very open to listening to whatever you have to share. I am a high achiever, and I always believed I had all the answers, I am not going to minimize the importance of what you’ve taken your precious time to share with me as just two weeks into my new dating adventure you have done much to calm my anxiety and assure me I am but human.
I’m slowing down because the Old Me was always very good at having perfect, cerebral, but emotionally inadequate answers to EVERYTHING (as I cringe and admit now), which was certainly frustrating and exhausting to my ex-wife and others. So, I’m stopping to consider this because the New Me intends to really listen, without jumping ahead of myself or you (or reacting without weighing up your “message” first), to consider what you’re saying fully and hearing what you’re trying to say at a much deeper level and what this means going forward.
I definitely see a light at the end of the tunnel and I know I will meet the next love of my life with a very different appreciation to what a truly lovely lady really needs to make her feel adored and appreciated – not just for a moment, but until the end game too.
Thanks and deeply appreciated – you are certainly much more than just a catalyst for introductions!! Your guidance sets the pace and guarantees a smooth passage.
Fond regards,
AM
